The idea behind came about as we found a lot of our people had similar interests. Now that the warm weather has arrived we have noticed a lot of interesting vehicles appearing in the car park of the classes. As Classic car owners ourselves we thought a casual picnic, car / motorcycle, dance event could be fun. You don’t need to bring an interesting vehicle. (But if you can - Great) The theme is Hawaiian so wear your brightest gear, grab a picnic lunch, your dance shoes and come and meet some interesting people and find out what your fellow dancers are into. (Hobbies etc.)
What we plan to do is make this a very social event. We will have nametags to include your first name and any other hobbies you are into. This makes it easy to mingle and strike up conversations with people. You may have been
dancing next to someone at classes for months, but never knew their name or that you shared other interests.
Just outside the double doors of the main hall there is a large grassy area overlooking a beautiful view of the Worcestershire Country side. A perfect place for your picnic blanket.
The Vehicles will be parked in a special area of the car park for you to admire.
(But please don’t touch, classic vehicle owners get Very protective of their pride and joy)
So fingers crossed that the weather is dry & sunny (don’t forget sunscreen.)
In the main Hall we will have lots of fun dance music playing for a quick spin around the dance floor.
This event is only for ‘Dance at 8’ members & their friends & family. Not to the general public. Please feel free to invite your friends and family along (dancing not required) But please let us know as we need to control numbers. So if you would like to join us here are the details
